About DFP


Dairy & Food Polytechnic (DFP) has been established aiming to develop young Saudi Nationals with competencies in the Dairy & Food Industry and to support the Saudization scheme in KSA. Dairy & Food Industry is one of the major industries in Saudi Arabia, consists companies with state of the art facilities that produce dairy, dairy foods and other food products in the Kingdom which actually creates the need for technically qualified people who can contribute meaningfully to the business as well as to the society in general. Dairy & Food Industry, being a labour intensive industry, offers jobs to the technical people for all its technical requirements, which in turn creates an employment opportunity for trained and qualified young Saudi Nationals ….. This is where Dairy & Food Polytechnic (DFP) comes in….. The concept of DFP was established in early 2009 when a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Chairman, Almarai Company and the Governor, Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC). Later, CINOP was identified to impart training to the trainees at DFP and HRDF to provide the financial support. DFP will start its operations in September 2011. Almarai is the largest integrated dairy foods company in the world with a reputation for quality that is unmatched within the gulf countries, aiming to provide quality and nutritious food & beverage products to its consumers. Technical & Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) is the government body responsible for technical education and vocational training in cities and the provinces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. CINOP is an international operator from Netherlands with more than 30 years of experience in managing similar institutes and polytechnics of dairy & food industry around the world. Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) is a government body responsible to enhance the Saudization scheme in the Kingdom through financing the institutions. The collaboration between Almarai, TVTC, CINOP and HRDF has resulted in the development of industry specific programs that will run exclusively at DFP and will provide well trained Saudi Nationals who will be competent to fill technical jobs in the Dairy & Food Industry.
